Kingston Elementary School Structural Investigation & Construction Control

Following a heavy snow event, Kingston Elementary School experienced temporary roof deflection that affected the suspended ceiling system and several integrated building components. Ceiling tiles and grid elements became displaced, HVAC components were affected, and several fire sprinkler heads shifted out of their intended position. SurfZone Engineering Consultants was brought in to evaluate the condition of the roof framing and affected systems, identify structural and life-safety concerns, and provide construction control services during the corrective work.
